Ego vs. Divine Essence: The Observer's Eye
Within us two forces coexist: the ego and the divine essence .
The ego is not an enemy—it is a necessary construct, formed by the experiences, beliefs, and conditioning that have shaped our identity in the world. It is the "self" that seeks security, recognition, and control. But when we believe we are only this ego, we become trapped in fears, comparisons, and limiting narratives.
Much of this imprisonment comes from society's judgment and expectations . We constantly try to conform to external standards of success, beauty, and behavior, as if our validity depended on being accepted in the eyes of others. In the process, we stifle our authenticity—and with it, the freedom to simply be who we are.
The divine essence, on the other hand, is the part of us that has never been lost. It is pure consciousness, the silent presence that observes without judgment, that exists beyond time and masks. This essence does not need to be conquered, because it is already who we are deep down.
The turning point comes when we recognize that we are not the mind, but the observer of the mind . When we can step back and simply observe our thoughts—without identifying with them—we open space for the divine essence to manifest.
👉 In this state of presence, we understand:
- The ego is just a story.
- The mind is just a tool.
- External expectations do not define our worth.
- Authenticity is the key to true freedom.
It is in this place of authenticity that we discover true happiness and enter into constant states of peace. For when we stop living to satisfy society and begin to live from our essence, the weight dissolves—and life becomes light, simple, and true.
Living is choosing: to follow the echo of external expectations or the deep voice of our own essence. Peace begins when we choose to be ourselves.
